About Us

Near East University Quality and Accreditation Coordination Office

The Near East University Quality and Accreditation Coordination Office is composed of one Coordinator, one Vice Coordinator, and eight members. The office has been appointed by the Board of Trustees and the Rectorate to advise on and implement policies, programs, and training related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and human rights across the university campus.

The Coordination Office operates through several specialized subcommittees, which include:

  • Ranking and Reputation Committee
  • Education and Teaching Committee
  • Research and Development Committee
  • Societal Contribution and Alumni Committee
  • Program Accreditation Committee
  1. Ranking and Reputation Committee

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to improve the university’s performance in national and international rankings.
  • Design and implement projects that enhance the institution’s academic reputation.
  • Analyze ranking criteria and identify areas for improvement.
  1. Governance and Leadership Committee

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Propose initiatives to strengthen the effectiveness of the university’s leadership structure.
  • Promote transparency and accountability within governance processes.
  • Establish quality policies that support the university’s strategic goals.
  • Evaluate governance and leadership components in the institutional self-evaluation (BİDR) reports submitted by faculties.
  1. Education and Teaching Committee

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that educational programs align with the standards of the Higher Education Quality Council of Turkey (YÖKAK).
  • Integrate learning outcomes with quality assurance processes.
  • Offer solutions to enhance student satisfaction and teaching quality.
  • Analyze data on learning outcomes, teaching methods, and student success from BİDR reports.
  • Set quality assurance standards in education and provide guidance to faculties.
  1. Research and Development Committee

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Guide the university’s research strategies and promote sustainable projects.
  • Develop plans to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Evaluate research projects, budgets, and outcomes based on the information provided in BİDR reports from faculties.

 

  1. Societal Contribution and Alumni Committee

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the university’s community engagement activities.
  • Design and implement social responsibility projects.
  • Develop policies to enhance the university’s regional and national impact.
  • Analyze community contribution activities outlined in BİDR reports.
  • Oversee the establishment of a comprehensive Alumni Information System.
  1. Program Accreditation Committee

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the national and international accreditation processes of all academic programs.
  • Review program content and practices in accordance with accreditation standards.
  • Evaluate and respond to accreditation requests from faculties and departments.
  • Facilitate communication with department chairs and academic units to achieve accreditation goals.
  • Provide information and training to academic and administrative staff on accreditation standards.
