Near East University aims to support and conduct research and development activities aligned with universal scientific standards and capable of generating added value at national and international levels. In line with this goal, the university is committed to conducting innovative and sustainable research responsive to the needs of science and society, and to sharing the outcomes of such research on a global scale.

Our research and development policy encompasses the following core components, forming a strong foundation for research and innovation:

  1. Encouragement of Original and High-Quality Research
  • Alignment with Societal Needs and National Development Strategies: Support for innovative and original research projects that respond to current and future societal needs and align with national development goals.
  • National and International Publications: Promoting contributions to science at both national and international levels through the dissemination of research outputs in high-impact journals and conferences.
  • Multidisciplinary Research: Encouraging collaboration across disciplines to develop innovative solutions, and strengthening such efforts through institutional support mechanisms.
  • Research Support in Priority Areas: Conducting in-depth research in strategic areas such as sustainable economic growth, digital transformation, green energy, agricultural productivity, and health technologies.
  1. Strengthening Research Infrastructure
  • Modern Research Infrastructure: Continuously improving, updating, and modernizing research laboratories, libraries, digital resources, and other infrastructure.
  • Supportive Services: Providing technical, academic, and logistical support to help researchers carry out their projects efficiently and effectively.
  1. Development of Collaborations
  • Public and Private Sector Collaborations: Developing joint research projects with public and private sector institutions to ensure the commercialization of research results and their transformation into societal benefits.
  • International Collaborations: Establishing effective partnerships with global scientific networks, universities, and research centers to promote the exchange and diversification of scientific knowledge.

  • Scholarship and Employment-Guaranteed Programs: Offering fully funded and stipend-supported master’s and doctoral programs with guaranteed employment to create a strong support system for education and research.
  • Mentorship for Young Researchers: Providing mentorship, career development, and training opportunities to nurture future leaders in research.

  • Dissemination of Artistic Research: Supporting the dissemination of artistic research through exhibitions, performances, digital platforms, and diverse media outlets to reach wider audiences.
